Equipment for hip and knee replacement recovery

Your surgeon, hospital or physio will tell you exactly what you need. These are the items most people hire after a joint replacement:

• Toilet frame: a sturdy frame that fits around the toilet to help you sit down and stand up safely.
• Walking frame: support for walking around the house in the first weeks of recovery.
• Walking stick: for when you're moving on from the frame.
  

Hire prices

Minimum hire is 3 weeks. Delivery is from $10 depending on your suburb, and pick-up is arranged when you're finished. After the minimum, you keep the equipment for as long as you need it and pay weekly.

How it works

1. Fill in the order form below with your address and surgery date.
2. We confirm your booking and delivery time by phone or email.
3. Your equipment is delivered, assembled and checked at your home, or held for you at the hospital if that's been arranged.
4. When you're recovered, we book a pick-up. You don't need to clean or return anything.

Why book before surgery?

Joint replacements are planned, so you know weeks ahead what you'll need. Booking early means you can come home to a set-up house instead of organising equipment while you're sore and tired. If your surgery date changes, tell us and we'll move your delivery.

Common questions

How far ahead should I book?

We will always work with you to get your equipment on time, however sufficient notice makes for a smoother process.

Can you deliver to the hospital?
Yes we can deliver straight to your room. Some hospitals in SA have stock rooms where the equipment can also be held.

What if I need it for longer than 3 weeks?
After the minimum hire is finished the hire will roll over at a weekly charge until you call for collection.

Is the equipment clean and safe?
Yes all equipment is cleaned and checked over before being sent out for hire. 

How do I pay?
Payment options are cash, credit card or website (CC or Paypal & Afterpay)
